You could have a bad alternator. When you get the engine started is there a "battery" light lit up on the dashboard? This probably means that the alternator is bad. If you have a volt meter you can do another test. With the engine running connect the volt meter to the battery. It should show at least 13.5 volts, maybe as high as 14.25. Much less means that the alternator is bad.
