I had the same problem on my car, all I had to do is disconnect the battery for about 2 minutes & the computer clears the error code.

FYI, Auto Zone will check your car's error codes & tell you what they mean for free.

If They sent you a notice admitting that there was a problem and CHARGED YOU to fix it.
If they want to charge you more money for repairs, I would consult a Lawyer.
I would have the computer scanned, ( somewhere other than the dealership) before trying to re-set the computer to find the trouble code and what it is for.
AutoZone and other auto parts stores will scan the computer for little or no charge.
