It is under the dash on the passenger side. Down low in the vent box next to the fan motor. Sort of under the glove box. Remove the glove box to get good access to it. Look for a connector that plugs into it.

On the 2002 sedan, there is a kick plate under the glove box, held on with a 17mm nut. Remove the nut, then remove the kick plate. The resistor has two #2 phillips screws holding it on. First remove the connector (Pull the tab on the blind side of the harmonica connector down first), then remove the two screws, the replacement part from Pep Boys is heavy duty, and you have to enlarge the hole before you can insert the new resistor into the housing. I cut it bigger with a sharp jacknife. The part cost $48.
