Without knowing what bike you want a repair manual for, I can’t direct you to a specific sub-section of a website, so I’m afraid I’m going to have to give you some sites that are little more than bucket lists, though all the links work and they are PDF downloads, so you can print them off and leave the laptop in the living room or the bike in garage for that matter.

Have you tried the Free Motorcycle Manuals website (freemotorcyclemanuals.net/)? They have manuals for a Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Harley Davidson, BMW, Aprilia and Ducati amongst others. A quick warning though, before you can download a manual, you have to fill in a survey, usually on something completely unrelated to motorcycle repair, motorcycles or indeed anything even remotely vehicular. But it’s a small price to pay.

Unfortunately Free Motorcycle Manuals do not appear to have all the motorcycle manufacturers covered, as despite what their header says, there are no manuals available for Honda bikes for instance. So if Free Motorcycle Manuals haven’t got what you’re looking for, head on over to Repair Manual Club (www.repairmanualclub.com/motomanuals/) where they have a far more extensive collection as if we continue with the Honda example you’ll find over 166 files for Honda bikes. Before you can download anything though, you have to register with the site, yet another barrier to getting what you want.

You may see a few forums linking to the free manuals section on this site (www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp) but I can tell you for a frustrating fact that all the links are now dead.

Basically if you want something for free you’re going to have to jump through a few hoops before they are going to give it to you. Good luck with your repairs, hope you’re not off the road too long!
