My 1999 Dodge Durango Transmission Won't Change Gears, What's The Problem?
It might need transmission fluid.

Have the dealership check your transmission and the tranny belt. There is a piece that holds the tranny belt in place that has recently broke off of my 99 durango and now our tranny is shot. we were having the same problems. good luck
Tranny belt don't have anything to do with the transmission, their are bands in the transmission.
First do you have any fluids up to the level, on the driver side of the transmission you have a neutral switch and down on the same side @ the back of the transmission is a sensor, change both of them. Try that and see will that solve the problem.
